Mission And Vision Statements

Bellaire Youth Initiative’s mission is to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment where youth and their peers meet to relax, learn, share and be themselves in a setting supervised by dedicated volunteers.

Bellaire Youth Initiative’s Vision is to inspire our students –  by developing their curiosity, skills and knowledge – to thrive and be the best they can be.

After School Programs

Bellaire Youth Initiative (BYI) after school programs serve children and youth of all ages and encompass a broad range of focus areas including academic support, mentoring, youth development, arts, and sports and recreation. The activities in which children and youth engage while outside of school hours are critical to their development, highlighting the need for quality afterschool programs.

A secure and loving environment

The Bellaire Youth Initiative (BYI) is a non-profit organization offering after school programs for Bellaire Elementary, Middle and High School public and home school students.  We offer the students an opportunity to feel part of the wider community and to have learning activities beyond the school experience.

We are managed by a Board of Directors and have paid coordinators for each of our initiatives. Qualified volunteers assist in every activity, program and project. We are always looking for additional volunteers!!
