NRA Gun Safety is offered for students in grades 5 –12. Certified NRA instructors lead the one-day class. Day one is focused on classwork; day two is at the NRA indoor shooting range. September through May, Eagles’ Nest is offered to children, first grade through third grade after school from 3:00 – 5:00. In the 2022-Winter 2023 school year, Eagles’ Nest is being expanded to include a second day on Thursdays.

Students, grades 5 –12, learn valuable cooking and meal preparation skills, recipe reading, sanitary practices, teamwork and organization skills. Cooking sessions are held Fall, Winter and Spring. Besides eating their own creations in the afternoon, recipes are shared with Meadowbrook residents or taken home to share with their families. Dee Lynch is the initiative leader.
