Biking (grades 4 – 12) and Hiking (grades 4 – 12) are offered Fall and Spring, making use of our beautiful Bellaire area and Glacial Hills trails. Mentors Paul, Deb and Ron are running the sessions. Registration and Waiver

Sewing, for grades 5 – 12. Led by Cookie Carrick, students learn the fundamentals of hand and machine sewing to complete their own project over multiple sessions. Classes are held at Bellaire United Methodist Church. 5th Graders ride the bus from the Elementary School to the Middle School. Mentors will meet all students and walk over with them.Parents pick up students at 5 pm at the church. Note: Enrollment limited to six. Registration and Waiver
September through May, Eagles’ Nest is offered to children, first grade through third grade after school from 3:00 – 5:00. In the 2022-Winter 2023 school year, Eagles’ Nest is being expanded to include a second day on Thursdays.

Students, grades 5 –12, learn valuable cooking and meal preparation skills, recipe reading, sanitary practices, teamwork and organization skills. Cooking sessions are held Fall, Winter and Spring. Besides eating their own creations in the afternoon, recipes are shared with Meadowbrook residents or taken home to share with their families. Dee Lynch is the initiative leader.
